By accessing or using our Website and/or booking any of our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). Please read them carefully before using our services.

1. Services Provided

Dj Mike B provides professional entertainment and event services, including but not limited to:

DJ Performances
MC (emcee) Hosting
Lighting and Visual Effects
Photobooth Rentals

All services are subject to availability and must be confirmed by written agreement or booking confirmation.

2. Booking, Deposit, and Contractual Agreement

A non-refundable deposit is required to secure the date and services for your event.

Bookings are not considered confirmed until the deposit has been received.
The remaining balance must be paid in full by the date specified in your service agreement or invoice.
These terms and any signed service agreement or invoice constitute the full contract between the client and Dj Mike B.

3. Payment Methods and Fees

Accepted payments: cash or approved electronic payment methods. (Venmo/ Zelle)
A convenience fee may apply for credit card transactions.

4. Cancellations and Refunds

Deposits are non-refundable under any circumstances.
Cancellations within 30 days may still require full payment.
If Dj Mike B must cancel due to illness, emergency, or unforeseen circumstances, a full refund of any payments made (including the deposit) will be issued.

5. Event Requirements and Client Responsibilities

Adequate power supply, shelter, and space must be provided.
Client must secure all necessary permits, licenses, or approvals.
Venue restrictions, curfews, or schedule limitations must be communicated.
The client must confirm with the venue whether the use of special effects—including but not limited to “Dancing on the Clouds”, fog, haze, or cold spark fountains—is permitted prior to the event date. The Dj will not be held responsible for any restrictions, alarms, or penalties imposed by the venue due to the use or attempted use of these effects. If the venue prohibits these effects, no refund or credit will be issued for the affected services.

6. Day-of Coverage and Insurance

Your Dj maintains the ability to obtain event liability insurance upon request, should the venue require coverage for the day of the event.

It is the client’s responsibility to inform the Dj in advance if the venue requires proof of insurance or additional insured documentation.
Any costs associated with securing day-of coverage will be added to the client’s total invoice.
Failure to provide advance notice of insurance requirements may result in delays or inability to perform if venue access is denied.
The Dj assumes no responsibility for venue restrictions, penalties, or cancellations resulting from the client’s failure to communicate insurance requirements prior to the event date.

7. Setup and Breakdown Time

Setup typically requires 60–90 minutes before the event. Depending on the package chosen.
Breakdown typically takes 45–60 minutes after the event.
Delays caused by restricted access or venue rules may reduce performance time.

8. Time-Sensitive Events

Events requiring strict start/end times (ceremonies, first dances) are the responsibility of the client.
Dj Mike B will perform during contracted hours only.

9. Overtime Fees

If the event goes beyond the contracted end time, overtime rates apply at $100 per hour, billed in 30-minute increments.
Overtime must be approved by the DJ prior to extension.

10. Travel Fees

Any event outside of Orange County, California may incur travel fees.
Fees may include transportation, travel time, and lodging expenses if required.
Travel fees are non-refundable once incurred or booked.

11. Meal or Meal Compensation

For events lasting four (4) hours or longer, the client must provide a hot meal and non-alcoholic beverages for the DJ and staff, or provide meal compensation.
Meal compensation example: $40 per staff member if no meal is provided.
This clause is contractual and not required under California law.

12. Song Requests and Music Selection

All song selections and mixing decisions are made at the DJ’s professional discretion to preserve the event’s flow, energy, and overall guest experience.
Requests deemed inappropriate, explicit, or inconsistent with the event’s atmosphere may be respectfully declined or substituted with a suitable alternative.
The DJ reserves the right to adjust the playlist and set order as necessary to respond to crowd engagement, time constraints, or event dynamics.
The client is encouraged to provide a preferred song list or “do not play” list in advance to assist with preparation.

13. Wedding Coordination and Itinerary Responsibilities

For wedding events, clear communication and coordination are essential to ensure a smooth and well-organized celebration.

If a wedding coordinator or planner is present, it is their responsibility to provide the Dj with a detailed and finalized event itinerary prior to the start of the ceremony and to communicate any updates or changes throughout the event.
If no coordinator is present, the client assumes full responsibility for confirming and communicating the complete event schedule, including ceremony cues, formal dances, announcements, and other time-sensitive activities.
Dj will perform in accordance with the information provided prior to and during the event.
Dj is not responsible for delays, missed cues, or out-of-order events resulting from the failure to provide or communicate an accurate and timely itinerary.

14. Equipment and Venue Liability

Client ensures a safe environment for setup and performance.
DJ not responsible for venue restrictions, power loss, or damage caused by others.
Client liable for negligent damage or theft.

15. Backup Equipment Policy

DJ may provide backup equipment if available.
Not liable for total equipment failure beyond reasonable control.

16. Safety, Weather, and Outdoor Policy

Adequate protection required for outdoor events.
DJ may suspend or cancel due to unsafe conditions.
No refunds for weather-related interruptions caused by client negligence.

17. Alcohol, Drugs, and Conduct Policy

DJ reserves the right to terminate services without refund if illegal substances, excessive intoxication, or unsafe behavior occurs.
Client remains responsible for full payment.
DJ will not consume alcohol or illegal substances during performance.

18. Damage or Theft of Equipment

Client responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to equipment caused by guest or venue negligence.
DJ may withhold performance if safety cannot be ensured.

19. Liability

DJ not responsible for injury, damage, or loss caused by guests, venue, or other vendors.
Liability is limited to the amount paid for services.

20. Photography/Video Liability

DJ not responsible for missed photo or video opportunities due to obstruction, lighting, or equipment malfunction.

21. Media and Promotion

DJ may capture and use photos/videos from the event for promotional purposes unless client opts out in writing.

22. Vendor Coordination

DJ is not responsible for coordinating other vendors.
Client ensures all vendors are informed of the timeline.

23. Performance Guarantee Disclaimer

DJ strives for professional, high-quality entertainment.
Enjoyment is subjective; refunds will not be issued solely based on guest satisfaction.

24. Non-Solicitation

Client agrees not to hire DJ staff outside booked event for 12 months without written consent.

25. Health/COVID-19 or Emergency Cancellations

DJ may reschedule if government restrictions prevent the event.
Deposits remain non-refundable but may apply to rescheduled date.

26. Intellectual Property

Website content, logos, graphics, and media are protected under copyright law.
Unauthorized use is prohibited.

27. Privacy Policy

Personal information collected solely for communication, invoicing, and booking.
Information will not be sold or shared except as required by law.

28. Governing Law

California law governs these Terms.
Exclusive jurisdiction: courts in Los Angeles County, CA.
